Our very own Dr. Taylor Krueger, who defended his Ph.D. dissertation "Bridging the Gap between Equilibrium Properties and Ultrafast Dynamics with Time-Resolved Spectroscopy of Functional Systems" in July 2022, was selected as the sole recipient in the Biological Science/Life Sciences category of the 2023 OSU CGS/ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award! This award is made annually to domestic or international students who have completed dissertations representing original work that makes an unusually significant contribution to their disciplines.

Taylor's dissertation, with the other award in the Humanities and Fine Arts category, will also be forwarded to represent OSU for the CQS/ProQuest national competition. The CGS/ProQuest Award operates on a two-year cycle in regard to fields of competition. The fields of competition for 2023 will be Biological/Life Sciences, and Humanities.

We are pleased that OSU has recognized Dr. Krueger's outstanding scholarship and creativity during his Ph.D. career.

Congratulations Taylor! Good luck with the national competition!
