Great that NSF has used our Ultrafast Laser Spectroscopy Lab, Oregon State University picture on the main Chemistry website (Understanding NSF Research: Chemistry) as the tag line picture for "Physical Chemistry":
"Physical chemistry applies the techniques and theories of physics to the study of chemical systems. Physical chemists often collaborate with materials scientists to develop new applications for materials." That can indeed be reflected by our recent collaborative work in the battery field, for inorganic photochemistry and thin film formation, and for aluminum speciation in Nanowrite applications.
